Ralph Staub

Ralph Staub ( born July 21, 1899 in Chicago, Illinois, USA; † 22 October 1969 in Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American film producer.

Biography

Ralph dust began as a producer for Columbia Pictures in 1930. The great part of his over 200 films produced make the one-act play of the Screen Snapshot series for which he partly also wrote the screenplay. The films, usually no longer than 10 minutes, showed behind the scenes footage of filming, events in Hollywood, and the like in a documentary style. The series was completed in 1958. Dust finished his production work.

Three times Ralph dust for an Oscar in the category Best Short Film was nominated ( a roll of film ): 1944 Screen Snapshots Series 23, No. 1: Hollywood in Uniform, 1945 50th Anniversary of Motion Pictures and 1946 Screen Snapshots Series 25, No. 1: 25th Anniversary.

On the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ralph dust has a star at the address 1752 Vine Street.
