The Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo, New York is the home of American football team the Buffalo Bills of the NFL. The maximum capacity of the stadium is 73,967 spectators.

The stadium was opened on August 17, 1973 and is the successor to the War Memorial Stadium. From 1973 to 1998, the venue was known as Rich Stadium, and then was named after the founder and owner of the Buffalo Bills, Ralph Wilson ( * 1918 - † 2014) renamed.

During the renovation of the stadium in 1984, the capacity of the stadium was expanded to 80,290 seats. Built 1994, a 31.5 feet high and 41.5 feet wide scoreboard, which was replaced in 2007 by a larger ( 33.5 ft x 82.2 ft) high definition scoreboard. In addition to the Ralph Wilson Stadium, there is only one other NFL stadium with an HD scoreboard.

On 1 January 2008, the NHL Winter Classic was held at Ralph Wilson Stadium, by the Buffalo Sabres and the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League NHL competed against each other. It is the second outdoor game in the history of the NHL.
