Ram Gopal Varma
Varma was an engineer before his career as a director. As a director he has Indian cinema - alongside his friend Mani Ratnam - significantly influenced. While Ratnam impressed by his clear, political statements in the film, it is Varma's artisanal work. These approaches Hindi films high on to Hollywood. Sponsored and promoted Varma has especially the career of Antara Mali, which occurred repeatedly in produced or filmed by him acting.
2007 turned Varma a remake of Sholay, the most famous and successful Hindi film of all time. Amitabh Bachchan, who still embodied one of the heroes in the original, took over the role of the villain. Varma had to rename his film after a decision of the Delhi High Court in Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag; the names of the actors also had to be changed. The film was a flop and quickly disappeared from theaters.
