Ram press (food)

A baler is a machine with the different materials are pressed to transport them to save space or can be recycled as a valuable material.

Use

Balers are used to compact cardboard packaging, cardboard, plastic, plastic containers and metal, PET bottles, films, production residues of all kinds, cut from paper shredders, fibrous material such as cotton, wood wool, mineral fibers and other materials. The volume of waste can be reduced by the compression by up to 95 %. Thus, from waste recyclable materials: The materials shall be collected separately compressed and can be delivered to the recycling cycle.

Types

There are different types of balers, which are differentiated on the degree of automation and, after the pressing direction.

Full Auto

In fully automatic balers, the material of the press is fed by conveyor belt or with a truck and then compressed and strapped. Fully automatic systems are only suitable for pressing of medium to large amounts of material (from about one ton of material accumulation per hour). Due to the large floor space requirements such balers are among other things in the industrial and logistics companies, distribution centers and disposers in use.

Semi-automatic

In semi- automatic balers, the supply of material and strapping the bale is done manually.

Vertical pressing direction

Vertical balers can compress small to medium amounts of material on a compact footprint from top to bottom. Vertical baling presses are often used in the retail and wholesale, industrial and logistics company for compacting cardboard, paper, film, hard plastics and PET.

Horizontal pressing direction

Horizontal balers are ideal for bulky and expansive materials. They have a larger footprint, but a low overall height. In particular, the wholesale, paper industry, printing and disposers use these presses for pressing cardboard, paper, foils, etc.
