Ramona Farcău

Ramona Petruta Maier (born 14 July 1979, Zalău ) is a Romanian handball player who plays in the Romanian national team.

The winger plays since 2006 the Romanian first division side CS Oltchim Ramnicu Valcea. Previously Maier played during league rivals CS Silcotub Zalău. With two clubs they won a total of five times the championship, twice the Romanian Cup, once the European Cup Winners' Cup once and the EHF Champions Trophy.

For the Romanian selection Maier played 155 international matches in which they scored 539 hits. In 2008, Maier took part in the Beijing Olympics, where she finished in seventh place with Romania. With 53 gates, she was top scorer of the tournament. She was also elected to the All Star team as the best right winger.
