Ramos Arizpe

Ramos Arizpe is a city in the Mexican state of Coahuila. Ramos Arizpe has about 66,000 inhabitants and is the administrative center of the homonymous municipality of Ramos Arizpe. The city is located 11 km from Saltillo, the capital of the state, removed and its inhabitants derive their livelihood mainly from the automotive industry and the service sector.

History

Ramos Arizpe was founded in 1577 as the Valle de las Labores, 1606 renamed in Valle de San Nicolás de la Capellana and finally Miguel Ramos Arizpe named after ( 1775-1843 ). Became a town Ramos Arizpe in 1980.
