Ramsgate is an English port city in east Kent. It belongs to the district of Thanet and counts 37 967 inhabitants (as of 2001). In addition to the fishing industry, tourism is one of the main sources of income of the city.

Until April 2013, there was a ferry crossing with the Belgian city of Oostende. Previously rode a ferry to Vlissingen (Netherlands) and Dunkirk ( France).
