Randolph Mantooth

Randolph " Randy " Mantooth ( born September 19, 1945 in Sacramento, California) is an American actor.

Life

Randolph Mantooth grew up together with his brother Donald and his two sisters Nancy and Tonya up the son of a German mother and an Indian father. Through his father's profession as a construction worker Mantooth had very often pull in his youth from one city to the next, in this case, however, learned early to speak many different accents. Mantooth first attended the San Marcos High School in Santa Barbara, where he worked on some of the school theater performances, and already took during his time at the following Santa Barbara City College acting classes. He then studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York and learned there besides acting also fencing, ballet and facial expressions. Famous classmates have included Kate Jackson ( Charlie's Angels ) and Joe Regalbuto ( Street Hawk ). During this time Mantooth lived in the Madison Avenue Babtist Church and works here in passing as a night watchman. Mantooth was 1978 to 1991 married to actress Rosemarie Parra. The marriage ended in divorce. Since 2002, Mantooth is married to his second wife Kristen Connors. Best man was Kevin Tighe series colleague. Mantooth is active in his spare time for sick children as well as for the fire and rescue services and touring as a spokesman for the fire brigade and medical events by the United States.

Career

During his college days Randolph Mantooth starred in the theatrical performance Philadelphia Here I Come, and was honored for his performance with the Charles Jehlenger Award. Here he fell to talent scouts of Universal Studios, so it was eventually offered a contract. This was followed by small roles in television films and series such as Adam -12 and The Bold Ones, where he convinced Robert A. Cinader, the future producers of emergency California. Cinader saw Mantooth in the ideal candidate for the role of Firefighter John Gage, the Mantooth seven years filled on the side of Kevin Tighe, Bobby Troup, Julie London and Robert Fuller and thereby became a teen idol in the 1970s. In the 1980s, Mantooth was a frequent guest star on television shows such as The Love Boat, A Fall Guy, Charlie's Angels or Dallas before he took over the role of Clay Alden on the soap Loving in New York. 1993 rose Mantooth out from the series, to accept a contract for the General Hospital series and incidentally also return to the theaters on Broadway. In 1995 he returned, however, back to Loving. To date, Mantooth played in various films, series and theater plays, staged latter partly self Moreover, Mantooth has now completed the work on the screenplay The Bone Game and is currently working on the series project USAR -1. In this series, in which it comes to the rescue and the Los Angeles Fire Department as with emergency California, Mantooth will not only play, but also produce the series and direct.
