Randolph Stow

Julian Randolph Stow ( born November 28, 1935 in Geraldton, Western Australia; † 29 May 2010 Harwich ) was an Australian writer.

After studying at the University of Western Australia Stow taught English literature at the Universities of Adelaide, Western Australia and Leeds ( UK). He also worked as an anthropologist among Aboriginal people in a mission station as well as on the Trobriand Islands and in the area of Milne Bay (New Guinea ). He lived since 1966 in the UK.

1989 Randolph Stow Young Writers ' Award was established, a writing contest for students.
