Randy Couture

Randy Duane Couture ( born June 22, 1963 in Lynnwood, Washington) is an American martial artist and actor. He is the founder of the MMA Training Organization Xtreme Couture Mixed Martial Arts. His nicknames include The Natural and Captain America.

Martial Arts Career

Wrestling

Randy Couture began at the Junior High School with rings and then won during his time at the high school, the Washington State Championship. After graduating, he joined the armed forces of the United States, where he served six years. Much of his service, he worked as a wrestler, a short time as a boxer.

After leaving the Army, he enrolled at Oklahoma State University, where he continued the ring sport. He was also repeatedly Ringer replacement for the Olympic team of the United States.

Mixed Martial Arts

In May 1997 he made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and in December he won his first UFC heavyweight title. For his next song, he came in 2000 in the fight against Kevin Randleman. After two defeats in 2002 he moved to the light heavyweight division. After a further title wins, he was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame in 2006. On August 28, 2010 and is a professional fighting career included 19 wins, seven by knockout, and ten defeats.

Couture was a coach in the first season of the reality television series The Ultimate Fighter.

Actor

As an actor, he held various minor and major roles in television series and feature films, including Cradle 2 the Grave (2003), Today You Die (2005 ) Big Stan (2007), The Scorpion King 2: Rise of a Warrior (2008 ) Redbelt (2008), The Expendables (2010) and its sequel The Expendables 2 (2012 ).
