Randy Edelman

Randy S. Edelman ( born June 10, 1947 in Paterson, New Jersey) is an American film composer.

Life

Randy S. Edelman grew up as the son of an elementary school teacher and an accountant in Teaneck, New Jersey. He began in his childhood with the piano playing, attended the Cincinnati Music Conservatory, and then played as a pianist in New York on Broadway.

He produced several solo records with songs, some of which were launched with Barry Manilow, Olivia Newton -John and others later. In the 70s, he also had his own hit parade success: Concrete and Clay and Uptown Uptempo Woman ( both 1976). He then went to Los Angeles, and after a few film scores in the 70s, he started from the 80s, writing for well-known U.S. feature films and television series, the music.

Randy Edelman is married to singer -songwriter Jackie DeShannon since June 3, 1973.
