Randy Napoleon

Randy Napoleon (* May 30, 1977 in Brooklyn ) is an American jazz guitarist. He was best known for his appearances with Freddy Cole, Michael Buble, Benny Green and the Clayton - Hamilton Jazz Orchestra.

Life and career

Randy Napoleon was born in Brooklyn in 1977. However, his parents soon attracted him to Ann Arbor, Michigan. At age 13, he began playing guitar. In Ann Arbor, he played in the big band of Pioneer High School. He studied music at the University of Michigan. Today he lives in New York.

Napoleon took in 2002 together with organist Jared Gold and Quincy Davis on drums ( with whom he toured as Randy Napoleon Trio), his first album Enjoy The moment on, in 2006 another CD, Between Friends, on the Napoleon interpreted eight standards and three original compositions. In addition to recording in a trio with gold and Davis, it also includes recordings with the hard-bop pianist Benny Green and bassist David Wong, which together with Napoleon and drummer Quincy Davis a quartet.

Large notoriety reached Napoleon in that he accompanied Benny Green and Michael Buble concerts and tours, especially in the TV appearance Great Performances, was released on Bublé's live album Caught in the Act as a DVD. He is also a member of the Freddy Cole Quartet.
