Rankine (crater)

Rankine is a small, bowl -shaped impact crater on the eastern limb of the Moon front page. He lies to the west of the crater and north of Gilbert van Behring inside the heavily eroded crater Maclaurin B.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1976 by ​​the Scottish physicist and engineer William Rankine John Macquorn.
