Ransom Water Tower

The Ransom Water Tower is a former water tower with historical relevance. In 1896, built in cylinder shape building, is in Ransom, LaSalle County, in the U.S. state of Illinois, in the United States. It is located on the East Plumb Street between Cartier Street and Columbus Street.

The tower was built after the great fire had devastated the town of the early 1890s. In July 1990, the tower was decommissioned.

Foundation and base are made of brick, the walls of the tower, which no longer exists (today is still the only base present), were in the interior of metal, the roof and the outer wall were built of wood.

The Ransom Water Tower was taken on November 2, 1990 by the National Register of Historic Places with the number 90,001,723 as a historical monument.
