Ranst is a Belgian municipality located in the Flemish region with 18,463 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2012). It is located on the eastern edge of the metropolitan area of Antwerp south of the Albert Canal and is adjacent to the main town of the districts baked rolls, emblem and Oelegem.

The center of Antwerp is situated about twelve kilometers west of Brussels and 40 kilometers south. The nearest motorway exits are Ranst and mass Hoven to the Belgian motorways A21 / E 34 and A13 / E 313 in Lier, Boechout and Mortsel offers the nearest regional stations in Antwerp and also keep on regional express trains. Antwerp airport is the nearest regional airport near the capital Brussels National is an international airport.
