Raphael Neale

Raphael Neale (* at Saint Mary's County, Maryland, † October 19, 1833 in Leonardtown, Maryland ) was an American politician. Between 1819 and 1825 he represented the state of Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

The date of birth of Raphael Neale is not known. He grew up in Leonardtown, where he received only a limited education. Later he hit as a member of the Federalist Party, founded by Alexander Hamilton a political career. Between 1798 and 1815 he was several times in the House of Representatives from Maryland. In the congressional elections of 1818 he was the first electoral district of Maryland in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Philip Stuart on March 4, 1819. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1825 three legislative periods.

Following the reorganization of the American political landscape early 1820s Neale joined the movement to the future President John Quincy Adams. As a candidate of that group he was in 1822 elected to his last term of office. After the end of his time in the U.S. House of Representatives Raphael Neale is no longer politically have appeared. He died on October 19, 1833 in Leonardtown.
