Raphana

Raphana was an ancient Greco- Roman city of the Decapolis.

It is probably identical with the biblical place raphon ( Ῥαφών ) on which the Ammonite commander Timotheos was defeated by Judas Maccabeus (1 Macc 5.37 EU).
