Rapture of the Deep is the 18th studio album by the English rock band Deep Purple. It was released in November 2005 as the first of the band with Edel Records (worldwide ) or its sub-label Eagle Records in the USA.

History

Like its predecessor, the album with producer Michael Bradford, this time from March to June 2005 was recorded in Los Angeles. Clearly Quite Absurd is a ballad. The title track was released in 2005 as a single. The album reached # 10 in the charts in Germany, the UK court 81

Reception

The website Allmusic awarded 3.5 out of 5 stars. Bret Adams wrote that the album Bananas am only in nuances after. It was a good example, how many artists veterans would have received their " creative vitality ". The album was chosen by the magazine Classic Rock number 24 of the albums of the year 2005.
