RÃ¥shult

Råshult is a village in the parish Stenbrohult and is located north of Älmhult in the Swedish province of Blekinge län in the historical province of Småland. It is the birthplace of the Swedish natural scientist Carl Linnaeus.

The town's name derives from the words Rås which means " marshy land or valley " and hult for " small wood or copse " from. Today, there is a 42 -acre cultural reserve that mimics the existing landscape in the 18th century. The 1706 built by Linnaeus Nils Linnæus apartment building burned down in the late 1720s. After the re-establishment there in 1928 brought back to its original state.
