Raško Katić

Raško Katić ( Serbian Cyrillic Рашко Катић; born December 8, 1980 in Kragujevac, SR Serbia) is a Serbian professional basketball player. In addition to various clubs in his homeland Katić played four seasons for the German first division Walter Tigers Tübingen between 2005 and 2009 in the National Basketball League. In the 2012/13 season he plays for the Serbian vice-champion KK Red Star from the capital Belgrade.

Career

Katić first played for his hometown club higher class Zastava from 2002, first in the second division. After promotion to the top division, he joined in early 2004 in the capital Belgrade to league rivals Red Star, the national cup competition " Radivoj Korać " won this season. In the following season Katić changed in January 2005, initially to İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi basketball team in the Türkiye Ligi Basketbol before he already returned again in March 2005 in his home country and played in Niš for ergonomist.

For next season 2005/ 06 Katić moved to Germany for first division Tigers Tubingen in the National Basketball League, with whom he managed each in the league over the next four seasons. The best result was achieved in the Basketball Bundesliga 2006/ 07 with the tenth place after the main round. After Katić on BBL All-Star Game was allowed to participate in 2008, he was elected n his last season for Tübingen in the National Basketball League in 2008/ 09 as the second best player at his position in the " All- BBL Second Team".

After four years in Tübingen Katić 2009 returned to his homeland, playing for KK Hemofarm in Vrsac, who withdrew in the first group stage of the Eurocup 2009/10. In the supranational Adriatic League you failed against the national competitors KK Partizan in the semifinal. Against the Serbian series champion, they lost the final series of the play-offs to the Serbian Cup. In the following season moved Katić to Partizan Belgrade in the capital and won with this club again the Adriatic League, beside the national cup win in a rematch of the finals series and the Serbian Championship against his former club from Vršac.
