Rasmus Lerdorf

Rasmus Lerdorf ( born November 22, 1968 in Godhavn / Qeqertarsuaq, Greenland ) is a Danish programmer. He is the inventor of the computer language PHP / FI (1994 /95). The first version of this programming language was a collection of Perl scripts that Rasmus used to automate the access to its website via CGI. Originally with PHP / FI for " Personal Home Page / Forms Interpreter" named set was later in PHP for " PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor" is renamed.

From 2002 he worked until the end of 2009 for Yahoo. Since 2012 he works for Etsy.
