Rasshua

Rasschua (Russian Остров Расшуа; jap罗 处 和 岛, Rasushua -tō ) is an uninhabited volcanic island in the archipelago of the Kuril Islands and belongs administratively to the Russian Sakhalin Oblast.

Rasschua is located about 30 kilometers southwest of the island of Matua, and 16 km northeast of Uschischir. The island is about 15 km long, up to 6.5 km wide and has an area of 67 km ². It is formed by an active stratovolcano of the same name, reaching a height of 948 meters above the sea. The last eruption of the Rasschua took place in 1957.
