Rasul Boqiev

Rassoul Boqijew ( Tajik Расул Боқиев; born 29 September 1982) is a Tajik judoka.

Career

Rassoul Boqijew occurs at lightweight to ( to 73 kg), winning for his international debut, in 2005 discharged Asian Judo Championships in Tashkent, a bronze medal. He repeated a year later at the Asian Games in Doha this success. Even with several World Cup events Boqijew was successful: in Hamburg, he reached the gasoline Super Cup Silver ( 2006) and bronze (2008), in Budapest ( 2007) even gold.

With the third place at the World Judo Championships in Rio de Janeiro, he qualified in September 2007 for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games in Beijing. There he defeated in his first battle competitors from the Congo, Ukraine and the People's Republic of China, was defeated in the semifinals, however, the South Korean world champion Wang Kichun. The bronze battle against the Belgian world number Second Dirk van Tichelt he won with a Yuko score. This secured his native Tajikistan the first medal in the Olympics at all.
