Ratchasan District

Amphoe Ratchasan ( in Thai: อำเภอ ราช สาส์น ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the center of the province of Chachoengsao. The Chachoengsao province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.

Geography

Neighboring districts ( from east clockwise): Amphoe Phanom Sarakham the, Plaeng Yao and Bang Khla Chachoengsao Province and Amphoe Ban Sang in the province of Prachinburi.

An important river in the district is the Khlong Tha Lat.

History

Ratchasan was on 16 February 1977, first as sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by Amphoe Phanom Sarakham was separated from. On July 4, 1994 Ratchasan got the full Amphoe status.

Management

The circle is divided into three subdistricts (tambon ), which are further subdivided into 31 villages ( Muban ).

There are also three " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
