History

The first documented mention was Ratolfestor the first time in 783, and on February 3, 800 until secularisation 1803 the Bishopric of Bamberg incorporated Benedictine Michel Berg had the local rule in Rattelsdorf. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803 the place belonged to Bavaria. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community. Until 1972 Rattelsdorf belonged to the district of Season Stone. The market Rattelsdorf has four breweries: the Schwanenbräu in Ebing, the Endres brewery in courtyards, Sonnenbräu in Mürsbach and the brewery Fischer in Freudeneck (the smallest town in the district of Bamberg, which has a brewery). In all four brewpub there Franconian beer and snack specialties. In the hamlet of Medlitz existed until 1986, the Black Eagle Brewery and in the community part Mürsbach to 2002 Feiler brewery.

Policy

Mayor since 2005 Bruno waiter (United environs ) from Freudeneck. Its predecessor was since 1990 Gerhard Jäger (SPD ), who won in 2002 with 63.54 % of the votes against his rival candidate Siegbert Tscherner ( Ebinger list).

In the mayoral election in 2011, none of the four candidates could be penetrated by an absolute majority on the first ballot. Therefore, it came on 10 April 2011 on a runoff election between Mayor Bruno waiter (United environs ) and Reinhard Schmid ( SPD). Bruno waiter won it with 56.8 % of the vote, Reinhard Schmid reached 43.2 %.

Economy and infrastructure

Economy, agriculture and forestry

In 1998 there were, according to official statistics in manufacturing and 318 in trade and transport, no social insurance contributions at the workplace. Social insurance contributions at residence, there was a total in 1673. In manufacturing, there was an operation in the construction of seven plants.
