Geography
Geographical Location
Rattiszell is located in the Donau-Wald Bavarian Forest in the front. The main town located in the Rattiszell Kinsachtal between Pilgramsberg (618 m) and Gallnerberg ( 697 m).

History
Rattiszell belonged to the lords of Buchstätt. The village was part of the Electorate of Bavaria and formed a closed Hofmark whose seat was Rattiszell. In the course of administrative reform in Bavaria, was born with the congregation of 1818, the current community.
Incorporations
In 1927 Mr. incorrect castle was incorporated. 1946 was followed by parts of Eggerszell. On May 1, 1978 Haunkenzell that had been incorporated in 1876 and 1946 maize cell parts of Pilgram cell and Eggerszell was incorporated.

Mayor
First mayor since 2007 Manfred Reiner, who was elected in a runoff election on June 17, 2007. Its predecessor was in 1987 Josef Schneider (CSU ). He died on 3 March 2007.
Municipal tax revenue
The municipal tax revenue amounted to the equivalent of € 575,000 in 1999, which amounted to the trade tax revenues ( net) converted € 119,000.
Culture and sights
The parish church of St. Benedict in 1697 built on the site of an older church using a late medieval tower with a baroque tower. It includes a carved statue of Mary in 1500 and a Sebastian figure around 1720.

It was in 1998 according to official statistics in the field of agriculture and forestry 3, 351 in manufacturing and in trade and transport 27 persons work at the workplace.
