Ratva is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Mäetaguse ( Mäetaguse vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.
Description and History
The village has 44 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).
The place was first mentioned in documents in 1241. It is located in a karst area.
Three kilometers south of the village begins the forty -square-mile bog of Ratva ( Ratva raba ). It is a nature reserve. In the bog of the thirty -acre lake is Ratva ( Ratva järv ). Through him, the river Ojamaa ( Ojamaa Jõgi ) flows.
