Raúl RamÃrez
Raúl Carlos Ramírez ( born June 20, 1953 in Ensenada, Baja California ) is a former Mexican tennis player.
He was both in single as well, especially on the side of Brian Gottfried, in a double one of the best players in the late 1970s and early 1980s. With the win of tournament titles in singles and doubles on all surfaces (sand, carpet, hard court and grass) he also exhibited his versatility. He is considered the most successful Mexican professional players of the Open Era.
In the Davis Cup he can submit a positive balance in both the single ( 22:8 ) and in double ( 14:5 ). After his playing career, he was from 1984 to 1995 captain of the Mexican Davis Cup team.
