Rauno Korpi

Rauno " Rane " Korpi ( born June 25, 1951 in Tampere ) is a Finnish professional ice hockey coach. His daughter is a professional figure skater Kiira.

Career

Rauno Korpi began his career as a professional hockey coach at Tappara Tampere, which he oversaw in the SM- liiga 1979-1982. During this time, 1981, he was vice-champion in 1982 and won with his team the championship. For winning the championship for the first time he received the Kalevi Numminen - Trophy as the best coach of the season. Korpi was two more times coach at Tappara, which he led in his second term, 1985-1991 to a hat-trick in the years 1986 to 1988. He was also in 1990 with Tappara third parties.
