Rav Huna
Rab Huna was an amora of the second generation ( 250-290 ) in Babylonia (c. 212 or 216; according Iggeret Rab Sherira Gaon died 297, but this is unlikely, he probably died decades earlier ).
He was especially Halachist, contemporary rabbis, pupil of Rab and Samuel Mar; important teacher in Sura by Rab
Rab Huna was probably identical with the learned exilarch Huna II
His body was brought to Palestine.
Rabbah bar Rab Huna was his son.
