Raytheon T-1 Jayhawk

The T-1 Jayhawk is a twin-engine jet trainer of the U.S. arms manufacturer Raytheon, which is used by the U.S. Air Force for training pilots for refueling and transport aircraft. The second variant was developed for the Japanese Air Self-Defense Forces, the smaller T-400.

History

The T-1 is mainly used in later phases of pilot training for transport and tanker aircraft. It also serves the training of navigators of the U.S. Air Force. The T-1 replaced the North American T -39 Sabreliner. The Jayhawk is the second aircraft type with the identifier " T -1". Earlier, the T-1 Sea Star this task identifier was assigned.

Construction

The T -1 is a military version of the Raytheon Beechjet 400 In the cockpit there is room for an instructor and two students. Driven is the plane of two turbofan engines which give the plane a cruising speed of Mach 0.78.
