Rødding

Rodding community ( German: municipality Rödding ) was until 2007 a municipality in Jutland Office ( Northern Schleswig ) in southwest Denmark. It existed since 1970 and consisted of the municipalities Hjerting, Hygum ( German: Hügum ) Jels, Lintrup, Øster Lindet ( German: Easter Linnet ), rodding ( German: Rödding ) Skodborg ( German: Schott castle ) and Skrave. Although the area for centuries belonged to the Duchy of Schleswig and has always belonged to the Office Haderslev and from 1970 Jutland office even after 1920, the local council decided in view of the forthcoming local government reform by 2007 early to orient itself towards the north and the metropoloitan Vejen with center in vejen to join. This Regulation entered into force on 1 January 2007 and meant the end of the Commune rodding.

In 1844, the theologian Grundtvig opened in rodding the first European folk high school, which was relocated in 1865 due to the German -Danish War by Askov.
