Reading frame

A reading frame a continuous, non-overlapping sequence of base triplets will be referred to the DNA or mRNA in the genetics, wherein it is a single-stranded mRNA three possible reading frames, and for a double-stranded DNA - as the transcription of both strands from here so theoretically possible - six possible reading frames are.

For example, the sequence " AGTGCTGAC " can be read at three different ways:

A reading frame must not be confused with a reading frame. The latter is a DNA segment between a start codon to a stop codon in the same reading frame (generally > 100) useful codon contains a variable number.
