Read Town is a town ( with a status of "Village" ) in Vernon County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, Read Town had 415 inhabitants.

Geography

Read Town is located at 43 ° 26'55 " north latitude and 90 ° 45'39 " west longitude. The city covers an area of 4.6 km ², which consists exclusively of land area.

Read Town is located 40 km east of the Mississippi River, which forms the border to Iowa. A few miles upstream is the interfaces of the three states of Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Read Town is located in the Driftless Area mentioned glacially shaped region that stretches across the southeastern Minnesota, southwestern Wisconsin, northeastern Iowa and extreme northwestern Illinois.
