Real Balompédica Linense

Real Balompédica Linense is a Spanish football club based in the Andalusian town of La Línea de la Concepción, Cádiz. The club was founded in 1912 playing in the 2008/ 09 season in the Segunda División B, Group 4

History

Foundation

Real Balompédica Linense was originally formed as Balompédica Linense September 10, 1912 led by a group of José Morales Cristóbal García Becerra founded. These two were president and secretary of the first Association Board.

Cristóbal Becerra tried adding real, so "Royal " to make contact with the club's official name, but this failed at the resistance of some club members. On December 8, 1912 Linense played the first game of its history and won 2-1 against Algeciras.

League

In 1922 it came down to it and after a further initiative by Cristóbal Becerra, who was supported by the Marchioness of Marzales, were added still adding real time. The first official game they won eight -goal margin against CD Málaga. It was also the Spanish King Alfonso XIII. the honorary presidency offered.

In the same year Real Linense won again against CD Málaga, this time in the finals of the Regional goblet.

Local celebrity

In 1929, the regionally successful club of several Moroccan clubs in the French zone of occupation of that country was invited to play against them. Without exception, all were struck, so that, curiously, the French opposition "Empire" in the finale did not even took the cup and handed over to the team of Real Linense before the match kick-off.

The game against CD Córdoba in the season 1929/30, was a historic, because it was the highest league victory of all times for Real Linense. The final result at the end of the game was 22:0.

In 1932, the Marchioness of Marzales was appointed thanks to some monetary donations to sponsor the club.

Segunda División

In the seasons 1949 /50 to 1954/55 the Andalusians played six years in the Segunda División. In the summer of 1955, however, rose a murmur from the Table and returned since then not go back in the top two leagues.

Stadium

Real Linense plays at the Estadio Municipal de La Línea, which has a capacity of 20,000 spectators. The stadium was built in 1969 and renovated in 2003. Inside the stadium, there are offices, the trophy room of the club, a café, a restaurant and the press room.
