Real Love (Beatles song)

Real Love (German: , True Love ' ) is the title of a composition of the British musician John Lennon. This could not finish until his death in 1980. However, it was revised in 1995 by the other three Beatles and released in 1996 as a single. As the single Free as a Bird from the year 1995, it is considered as a virtual reunion of the Beatles.

Origin

John Lennon had been adopted in 1975 after the release of the best - of album Shaved Fish for five years in the music business. This retreat from the public eye but had no means led to musical inactivity. Lennon wrote in his New York apartment many song fragments and took many demo recordings on simple audio cassettes on.

Real Love, the first of the title Real Life wore was originally part of a larger composition, from the Lennon later two other pieces created: Watching the Wheels and I'm Stepping Out. The remnant of it was formed to melody and lyrics, the framework for the later Real Love. Lennon could not finish the song until his death in 1980. Real Love reached in the British charts in fourth place, eleventh in the U.S. to. A little reworked version with piano accompaniment from 1980 was released in 1998 on the John Lennon Anthology, as well as in slightly abridged form on Wonsaponatime, a selection from the John Lennon Anthology.

Cover versions

Regina Spektor took in June 2007 on a cover for the Make Some Noise project. From Adam Sandler was for the film Funny People also plays a cover sung, which appeared on the soundtrack of the film.
