Geography

The place is located at the western end of the valley at the foot of the Furka Pass Urseren on the left bank of the Furkareuss. To the municipality together with the village still has several alpine settlements and isolated farmsteads. The most significant among them is Tiefenbach ( 2,106 m above sea level. M. ). The municipality is located on the Furka Pass road. The nearest motorway junction is Göschenen on the A2. History
