Réaumur (crater)

51.25

Reaumur is an impact crater on the Moon's front page on the southern edge of the sinus Medii, east of the crater Flammarion and northwest of Hipparchus. The rim is heavily eroded and partly disappeared. The interior is flooded by lavas of the sinus Medii and therefore just.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French naturalist René- Antoine de Reaumur Ferchault.
