Réauville
Réauville is a commune with 376 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) in southern France in the Drôme department in the Rhône -Alpes.
Geographical location
Réauville located in the southeast of Montelimar, about 20 kilometers away. Coming from the north, the community of the A7 motorway at the junction Montelimar Sud can be reached. Coming from the south you can also reach Réauville via the A7 motorway on the junction Bollène. The next largest communities in nearby cities Grignan and Valaurie, which lie in the same canton.
Agriculture
The community is just like the whole canton, dominated by agriculture, are grown among other wheat, sunflower, lavender, apricot, cherries and wine.
Structures
The most important building in the village is a church with frescoes from the 19th century. Otherwise, the area is characterized by houses in the typical Provencal style.
Natural Monuments
In the contemporary historical epoch of the Miocene Réauville was covered by the sea. In the Sablière (sand pit) of Réauville fossils of shells, shark and ray teeth and sea urchins can be viewed from this period.
Trivia
The first died in World War I French soldier, Albert Séverin Roche, was born in Réauville.
