Reccared II

Reccared II († March 621 ) was king of the Visigoths in February / March 621

Reccared was the son and successor of the deceased in February 621 King Sisebut. He was in his reign still a child and died after a few days in March 621, the Visigoth King List gives him a reign of one year, two months and ten days; this is probably explained by the fact that he was diagnosed in his lifetime his father's fictitious " co-ruler " (late 619 or early 620 ), which Sisebut wanted to secure him the succession to the throne. With Rekkareds death Sisebuts failed attempt at founding dynasty.
