Red bean soup

Shiruko ( Kanji:汁 粉; Hiragana :しるこ) or koshian no zenzai is a hot breakfast served Japanese desserts dish in soup form. Here there are two types of them: once soup with whole beans and once with pureed beans. In general, the dessert is served in the evening as a snack. History

The adzuki beans were introduced to Japan from China. Archaeological excavations have shown that these beans were consumed as early as 2000 years ago in Japan. The beans were consumed but only from about 1700 as a dessert. The originating from the 1852 book Morisada Mariko According Shiruko was then prepared in Edo, Kyoto and Osaka. Ingredients

Main constituents of the Court are adzuki beans and grilled mochi -called sweet rice cakes. Other ingredients include sugar, water and salt.
