The Gelbhosenpipra ( Pipra mentalis ) is a Central American bird Schnurr.

Features

The plumage of the male is predominantly black. On head and neck feathers have a very striking red clay (hence the English name " Red-capped Manakin "). The legs stand out through an intense yellow from ( " yellow pants "). Completely different and much more inconspicuous look the females. Their plumage is brownish olive on the upper side of the body. The underside is greenish to yellowish.

Occurrence

The bird lives primarily in the rainforests of Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico and Panama.

Reproduction
