Red Spider Nebula

NGC 6537, also known as the Red Spider Nebula ( English red spider ), is a planetary nebula in the constellation Sagittarius. The in- center of the nebula white dwarf remnant of an original star, produces an approximately 10,000 Kelvin hot wind blowing at speeds of 2000-4500 miles per second. The star is probably one of the hottest known.

Discovery

The planetary nebula NGC 6537 was discovered on 15 July 1882 by the American astronomer Edward Charles Pickering.
