Red (Red) is the fourth studio album by American country pop singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. It was released on October 22, 2012 as a digital download, on 26 October 2012 as the audio CD and in November 2012 as a vinyl. In the first two weeks the album in the United States was sold over 1.5 million copies. Swift collaborated for the album with new producer and guest musicians like Gary Lightbody and Ed Sheeran and put it in front on the Red tour.

Singles

The first single from the album from We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was legally downloaded a worldwide success and more than 620,000 times in the first week. The second single Begin Again was released on September 25, 2012 and the third single, I Knew You Were Trouble with which they published for the first time a song that can be associated with the Dubstep, stood from 9 October 2012 as the promo single for sale. The piece has also been downloaded in the first week over 400,000 times, making Swift the first artist with two singles reached this mark. The third single was I Knew You Were Trouble and appeared on November 14, 2012. Place two of the singles charts could be achieved in the UK and the USA, in Germany the top 10. Fourth single is 22, which appeared on March 12, 2013. In the UK, this single could reach ninth of the singles charts.

Overall, the album received positive reviews. The overall rating of Metacritic, based on 21 reviews, the album went 76 out of 100. So was Melissa Maerz of Entertainment Weekly the album a B grade . Also positive feedback Allmusic and The Guardian the album with four out of five stars. Kai Butterweck of laut.de gave the album three out of five stars one of the poorer reviews.

Christoph Volkmer of Countrymusicnews.de said the following to the album:

Commercial success
