Redout

As Redout Blickröte or loss of vision is referred to on the body occurs on exposure to negative g - forces ( for example, when flying an outer loops ). It manifests itself in a red coloration of the visual field and is caused by blood being forced through the acceleration forces in the head and thus in the retina and blood vessels of the eye.

The Redout is similar to the blackout occurring with positive gravity.
