Redpath-Museum

The Redpath Museum is located in Montreal, Canada and has its focus in the field of natural history. It is part of McGill University and located in the northwest of the campus, 859 Rue Sherbrooke Ouest.

Exhibition levels, focus, publications, teaching

Next to the entrance hall, will be exhibited in the exhibits that deal with the return migration of organisms from land to sea, two more levels found in the house. Collections

Mineralogy

These collections go in the main back on six donors, to serve their first names, or more precisely their initials to the label. Entomology ( entomology )

The so-called Lyman entomology collections came in 1961 on the Macdonald campus in Sainte -Anne -de- Bellevue. There, the Lyman Entomological Museum and Research Laboratory was established.

Paleontology

The fossil collection goes back to a donor, contributing to Sir William Dawson, the numerous plant fossils from Nova Scotia, to more pieces.

Anthropology and Archaeology

The ethnographic and archaeological collection is one of the oldest in North America, dating back to John William Dawson's collection. There were exhibits of the Natural History Society of Montreal. Sugar Museum
