Redspotgames is a video game publisher, distributor and promoter of Munich. The company is considered szenenah and attaches importance to quality packaging design.
History
Redspotgames was founded in 2005 and grew out of the independent scene of the Sega Dreamcast. The first appearance was the company at the Games Convention of the same year.
My first published game, Last Hope for Dreamcast is a port of the same name Neo Geo AES shoot ' em ups of NG: DEV.TEAM and was published on 31 January 2007. It is the reigning best-selling " indie " titles on the Dreamcast. While the regular edition came on a CD- ROM with full-color manual and spine card on the market, the limited edition offered in addition a double jewel case packaging, OST booklet, a remastered soundtrack CD in Vinyl look and a handwritten numbering on the spine card. Only 500 pieces were produced and were already sold out 5 days after the start of the Vorbestellaktion. Currently, this version reaches up to 250 € on online auctions worldwide.
2007, the second appearance at the Games Convention in Leipzig took place. The current game Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles by Yuan Works was playable in a GP2X version and has also been announced for the Dreamcast. A demo version of the Dreamcast version was published on the cover CD of the German print magazine " Retro" (Issue 8).
On 1 November 2008, Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles published. The official launch of the extradition fell on the same day at the Retro Gaming Connexion in Congis -sur- Therouanne (France), on the redspotgames was represented with a booth.
End of October 2009 published redspotgames then finally the third Dreamcast game, developed by the Dutch Senile Team Funracer Rush Rush Rally Racing.
Messepräsenationen
Particularly remarkable are the many presentations at trade shows, events or exchanges with video game reference. In addition to three performances at the Games Convention, the company was also represented at smaller events like the Vintage Computer Festival Europe (Munich), Karlsruhe retro Exchange ( Karlsruhe) or the Retro Gaming Connexion ( Congis -sur- Therouanne, France). In addition redspotgames sponsored the Swiss demoscene event Buenzli.
The print magazine M! Games (formerly MAN! AC) was positively surprised by the alternative Präsentiationskonzept at the Games Convention and described the performance as " punk rock ".
At Christmas time of 2008, the publisher held in Nuremberg " Wind and Water: Puzzle Battles " tournament with prizes, near the historic Nuremberg Christmas Market.
Future
According to his own statements, the company would like to publish in the future new games with classic 2D look and gameplay on older and newer platforms. The staff are big retro fans.
Redspotgames is a licensed Nintendo DS and Wii Publisher.
