Reference architecture
A reference architecture is in computer science, a reference model for a class of architectures.
The reference architecture can be used as model pattern - be considered for the class of architectures to be modeled - ie an ideal typical model.
The following claims, which has to fulfill an architecture by Vitruvius, apply especially to a reference architecture:
- Useful ( utilitas )
- Robust ( firmitas ) - thus permanent, temporary or less stable,
- Graceful or beautiful ( venustas ).
