Refuge Prarayer

The Rifugio Prarayer is a refuge in the Aosta Valley in the Valais Alps. It lies at an altitude of 2005 m s.l.m. within the community Bionaz on the grounds of Alm Prarayer. The lodge is run privately by early March to early November and offers at this time 50 climbers sleeps.

Increase

The road to the cabin starts at the car park at the Place Moulin dam. From there, the level path through a dirt track to the refuge. After a few meters the path to Rifugio Col Collon Nacamuli al branches off to the left. The path leads almost its entire length along the lake. Only during the last 15 min climb along meadows to the refuge.

For any technical problems having path from the car park 1h is to be estimated.

Tour options

From the refuge can be within 2 - 3 hours Sorgente del Buthier ( 2,374 m, the source of the Buthier ), the Lago di Livournera ( 2,374 m ) and the Col Livournera ( 2.858m ) and the pastures Alpeggio Brulé ( 2,355 m), Alpeggio Tsa de Tsan reach and Alpeggio Chardonney ( 2,364 m).

• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Col Collon Nacamuli al ( 2818 m).
• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Perucca - Vuillermoz ( 2,909 m) over the Colle di Valcornera ( 3,066 m).
• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Aosta ( 2,781 m).
• Transition to Arolla over the Col Collon ( 3,114 m).
• Transition to Zermatt over the Col de la Division ( 3,314 m) and the Col Valpelline ( 3,568 m).
