Catchment area of ​​the Rega

The Rega is a 168 km long river in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It rises in the Pomeranian Lake District and flows into the Baltic.

The Rega begins in the Pomeranian Lake District between Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) and Złocieniec ( Falkenburg ). The exact start of the Rega is no consensus. After a point of view it springs from the Resko Górne ( Ritzigsee ) at Nowe Resko ( Ritzig ) at an altitude of 146 m. According to another view, forms a stream which rises about 4 km to the north near the village Imienko ( Immenberg ) at a height of 177.5 m, the beginning of the Rega .. The official German map from 1936 of the Reich Office of recording shows for both inflows the name " Rega ", namely for the inflow from the Ritzigsee the name " Rega ( Lake Graben) " and for the creek at Immenberg springing the name " Rega ( quarry ditch ) ".

The catchment area is 2725 km ² of the Rega. It flows in places Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) Łobez ( Labes ), Resko (rain forest ), Płoty ( Plathe ) Gryfice ( Pommern ) and Trzebiatów ( Treptow an der Rega ) and heads towards the north.
